Delivery tracking software — Suivi

Suivi is a business application combining Excel imports, purchase order comparison, delivery recording and history. It illustrates an operational workflow organised around locally processed data.

The workflow addressed

The workflow involves finding orders, recording deliveries and reviewing previous records. Excel files are an input to the system. Comparing them with purchase orders is part of the process, with history available to review operations.

From files to delivery tracking

Users import the required files, compare orders and record deliveries. History then lets them retrieve registered deliveries. Role-based access determines which operations are available to each user.

Local processing

The application uses an Angular frontend, a Java / Spring Boot backend and PostgreSQL. Data is processed by the application and its local database server. The project plans a Windows distribution with Electron and an installer to bring the required parts together.

Installation and environment

The project plans a Windows distribution using Electron and an installer. Installation needs to account for user workstations, the local data server and backups. These elements need to be checked for each environment before use.
